Hands Off My Chocolate reinvented the chocolate bar

New York City, June 25, 2016 - As of today, you will never look at a chocolate bar in the same way you did before. Ever since the first chocolate bar appeared in 1847 it was divided in squares. After extensive consumer research and taste panels, Hands Off My Chocolate – a Dutch company since 2013 - has created the first chocolate drops bar in the world. These round drops just fit and melt much better in your mouth than traditional squares. As a bonus: the bar itself is easier to break in same sized portions.

Apart from the unique shape of the bar and the award winning packaging design (Pentaward 2014), it is all about very high quality and the best taste. Therefore, the bars are made in Belgium with the finest (Belgian) Barry Callebaut chocolates available.

Hands Off My Chocolate makes a distinction between ‘extreme indulgence’ and ‘extreme discipline’ bars. On the ‘indulgence side’ you can find varieties like: ‘Milk meets White’ (a blend of milk and white chocolate), or a triple layer ‘Caramel Macchiato’ (also visually displaying a caramel macchiato besides the taste, and a Crispy Cookie bar (crispy and enriched with caramel & sea salt). On the ‘discipline side’ you can find varieties like: ‘Milk meets Dark’ (40% cocoa, so more taste and less sugar compared to regular milk chocolate bars), or a ‘Double Dark’ 70% cocoa, and even a ‘Seriously Dark’ 85% cocoa (which has only 11% sugar, but is still very smooth)

How did they come up with the name: Hands Off My Chocolate?

Founders Thomas de Groen & Kitty Smeeten state: ”In a world where we are sharing more and more, everyone deserves more of those little moments of joy for themselves. In order to make the most out of these moments, products need to be so delicious and engaging, that you do not want to share them. Hands Off My Chocolate! Too delicious to share….”

(Every drop has ‘mine’ written on it..)

The chocolate is made with natural ingredients only and is sustainable. Hands Off supports the very transparent sustainability program of the Cocoa Horizons Foundation. The foundation improves the livelihoods of cocoa farmers and their communities through the promotion of sustainable, entrepreneurial farming, improved productivity, and community development.

This is a totally new brand and product for the US market. The 3.5 oz.bars (100gr.) ships in impactful display cases of 12 bars each with SRP of $4.99.
