PEDON AT SUMMER FANCY FOOD SHOW 2016: NEW PRODUCTS IN LINE WITH MARKET TRENDS
- New range of healthy foods responds to demand in growing organic, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free markets

SFFS – New York, 26-28 June 2016 Pedon, the global company working in the processing and sale of grains, pulses and seeds, will attend SFFS to present new products in line with the latest market trends forged as a result of the exponential increase in numbers of more wellbeing-conscious consumers looking for organic, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free products.

More than Pasta is the new range of bean pasta: all beans’ benefits come in pasta shapes. Only one ingredient: 100% made of pulses. High protein and fibre, rich in iron, zinc and magnesium. Low fat and salt free. About 1/3 less carbs compared with regular pasta. Cooks “al dente” in just few minutes. Free from all allergens. 100% natural, kosher and no GMO. Made in Italy. Timesavers Express is a range of quinoa-based dishes that are ready to eat in just five minutes: the practical pouch contains the grains and a little bag of spices for seasoning. After just five minutes in the pan, you can prepare a delicious, warm meal that’s high in fibre and protein. Alternatively, it makes a perfect base for tasty salads and other cold dishes. 100% natural, certified kosher and vegan-friendly.

Timesavers Express range: rice and quinoa Thai fusion, white quinoa Peruvian harmony, grains and quinoa Italian style.

Among the many new products unveiled, Happy Veggie is a new Pedon line of soya-based products, designed to satisfy the needs of consumers following a vegetarian or vegan diet. These groups are now made up of 375 million people worldwide and represent 10% of the European population.

100% natural, GMO-free and certified vegan-friendly, the four products in the Happy Veggie range are rich in protein and vegetable fibre, easy and quick to prepare and lend themselves to the many dishes in the kitchen.
